The visitors were welcomed by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor O.J. Alamu and other members of the University Management including Mr. G.A. Shittu (Acting Registrar), Mr. S.A. Adegbite (Acting Bursar) Dr. M. O. Adeleke (Acting Director of Academic Planning) and Engr. Adepoju (Director of Works).
The Acting Vice-Chancellor briefed the TETFund Officer on the scope of interventions that the Institution had benefited from since inception to date.
The team informed the Institution that the purpose of their visit was to familiarize and relate with the institutions within the South West Zone. He further informed the Management that due to the complaints made by some institutions concerning the logistics of operations with the central TETFund Secretariat in Abuja, the TETFund has decided to establish Zonal Offices in each of the geo-political zones in order to bring TETFund closer to the institutions. He disclosed that the Zonal Office for South West is located at 2nd Floor, Plot 16, Block J, Otunba Jobi Fele Way, Akwa Central Business District, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Management thanked the team for coming and expressed appreciation to TETFund for the support being given to both Teaching and Non Teaching Staff in terms of research grants, conference attendance and training.
