Professor Olawoyin said: It is particularly gratifying that our own scientists have succeeded in creating a profound awareness of the food values of indigenous vegetables such as, woorowo, igbagba, ebolo, iyanrin, amunututu and ewuro, among others.
In this regard, special commendation must go to Professor Clement Adebooye for collaborating with three other universities to make the funding possible. He challenged other academics and universities to follow the team’s laudable example for the benefit of our nation.
Thereafter, cheques ranging from N100,000 to N200,000 were distributed to seven cooperative societies from South-West by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adekunle Okesina assisted by the Bursar, Mr. Fatai Adebayo Lasisi.
