Biosketch:
For seamless and efficient transition of the conventional structure of electric power system towards future-proofed energy mix, electric microgrid operations using distributed renewable energy resources is being researched at Osun State University through series of investigative studies that Titus Ajewole is involved in. He adopts system modelling for experimental demonstration of microgrid operations as his approach of probing into various operational behaviours of microgrid systems. By developing and deploying microgrid emulators, he examines the performances of various components of different configurations of microgrid. He develops and experiments with a number of reduced-scale (simulation-based, laboratory-level, and on-the-site demo, as well as their combinations) microgrids that are employed as test-beds in investigating the transient behaviours of the non-conventional energy sources, in relation to the possibility of new dynamic properties cropping up whenever they are exploited as either single- or hybrid-source microgrid configurations. Through his studies, predictive and corrective measures of compensating for probable transient odds or other functional complications have been developed and applied in maintaining microgrid systems in reliable operational conditions. He investigates the traditional macrogrid networks also, for microgrid penetration and interaction possibilities, towards enhancing the resilience and self-healing capabilities of the electric power delivery infrastructures. In addition to his having co-authored a book on the fundamentals of electrical machines, he is fairly well published with over seventy-five scholarly publications to his credit.
