Biosketch:
Professor Daniel Adebode Adekanle is an Obstetrician and a Gynaecologist who specialiazes in Feto-Maternal Medicine. He has written papers on Preventive measures in obstetric haemorrhage as one of the major causes of maternal death in Nigeria. Studies on Pre-eclampsia and Eclampsia as another major cause of maternal death. Viral and bacterial infections in pregnancy were also investigated. Obstetric surgical procedures were also looked into with feto-maternal outcomes in our environment. Currently investigating a simple and cheap diagnostic tools that can effectively predict the development of Pre-eclampsai / Eclampsia in Primary Health care faciliities for effective referral to higher centres for proper care and management.
