The Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has inaugurated the State Chapter of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). The inauguration was performed at the Local Government Service Commission, Abere, on 16th February, 2013 by the Head of Service, Mr S. O. Owoeye, who represented the Governor.

The Director/Coordinator of Osun State University Centre for Entrepreneurial Education, Professor Ishola Rufus Akintoye, has said that the recent directive from the Federal Government of Nigeria and the National Universities Commission that all tertiary institutions in Nigeria should establish a Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies is a motivation and hope of a self-sustaining economy in the very near future.
