Dr. Faniran was born on September 6, 1956. He had his primary education between 1962 and 1967, his secondary education between 1968 and 1972, National Diploma in Secretarial Studies at The Polytechnic, Ibadan between 1974 and 1976 and his first degree between 1977 and 1981 at the University of Ife, Ile-Ife where he bagged and honours degree in English Language. He also bagged a Masters degree in Public Administration at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Dr. Faniran also bagged his doctorate degree in Industrial Education at the University of Ibadan in 2001. He worked as an auxiliary teacher between February 1973 and April 1974, a Confidential Secretary between July 1976 and September 1977, an Education Officer between September and October 1982 and as Administrative Officer II to Assistant Registrar between November 1982 and 1989. In October 1989, Dr. Faniran transferred his services to the University of Abeokuta and worked there until November 1990 from where he transferred his services to the then Oyo State University of Technology, Ogbomoso now Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso where he rose to the position of Registrar in July, 2006.
Dr. Faniran later transferred his services to the Osun State University as the Foundation Registrar from November 5, 2007. Dr. J.O. Faniran was born over fifty years ago.He had his primary education at Ode-Omu between 1962 and 1967,his secondary education at the Gbongan/Ode – omu Anglican Grammar School between 1968 and 1972 and his First degree between 1977 and 1981 at the then University of Ife,Ile –Ife.
Dr. Faniran worked between 1982 and 1989 at the defunct Oyo state College of Arts and Science, Ile Ife within which he registered for and bagged a Masters degree in Public Administration on part-time basis at the Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile -Ife, Later in 1989, Dr. Faniran joined the then Oyo state University of Technology,Ogbomoso.
While working at this University, Dr. Faniran registered for and bagged a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Industrial Education on part - time basis at the prestigious University of Ibadan in 2001. In the University which later became the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Dr.Faniran rose from the position of Assistant Registrar in 1990 to the position of Registrar in July, 2006 a position which he held until November 3rd, 2007. Dr. Faniran finally transferred his service to the new Osun State University on November 4th, 2007 as the Foundation Registrar to date.
Dr.Faniran is happily married with children.

Professor Okesina, a Chemical Pathologist, was born on October 11, 1954. He graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Lagos in 1980. He became a Fellow of Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in 1988 and Fellow of West African College of Physicians in 1989.
He did clinical attachment at the Institute of Neurology Queen Square, London and East Surrey Hospital between 1987 and 1988. From 1991 to 1993, he was a Commonwealth Medical Research Fellow in Clinical Endocrinology at Hammersmith Hospital and Royal Postgraduate Medical College in London.
He was appointed Lecturer I at the University of Ilorin in 1989, Reader in 1994 and Professor of Chemical Pathology in 2000. He was appointed Consultant, Chemical Pathology to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital in 1989.
Okesina became Head of Department in 2000-2004 and Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Science, College of Medicine, University of Ilorin from 2004 – 2007. In 2007, he was appointed foundation Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University from 2007 to 2011.
Okesina has many scholarly publications in local and international Medical Journals. He received International Federation of Clinical Chemistry International Bursary Award 1996; Commonwealth Medical Fellowship Award 1991; National Honours Award (Post NYSC) 1982; Oyo State Merit Award scholarship for University Education 1976 and Odo-Otin Local Government Scholarship for Secondary Education in 1968.
He has supervised several Fellowship Dissertations and has over seventy publications. The Professor has trained and supervised thesis of six Professors, two of whom are currently serving as Deans. He is currently the President of African Federation of Clinical Chemists.
He is happily married and blessed with children.

Olukoya Ogen is a Professor of History at Osun State University, Osogbo as well as a Visiting Senior Research Fellow to the Department of African Studies and Anthropology, University of Birmingham (2012-17).
He holds a PhD in History from the University of Lagos, and a Certificate in Trade, Growth and Poverty from the World Bank Institute, Washington D.C. He was a Leventis Scholar at SOAS, University of London in 2008, a British Academy Visiting Fellow at the University of Birmingham in 2009, a CWAS Visiting Fellow in 2010, and an American Council of Learned Societies (AHP) Postdoctoral Fellow in 2011.
He was also a Guest Researcher at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone in 2011. Prof. Ogen is currently the Country Director of a 5-year European Research Council Grant on ‘Everyday Religious Encounters and Social Identities in Southwest Nigeria.’ He has won numerous foreign travel fellowships / grants for paper presentations at conferences and for research visits to several universities across the globe. With over 60 publications to his credit, Prof. Ogen also sits on the editorial boards of major local and international journals. He co-founded African Nebula with Prof. Samar Habib in 2010.
He is a Member of Faculty Row, a US-based exclusive global elite network of distinguished and super professors that accepts new members by invitation only. Prior to joining Osun State University in 2009, Prof. Ogen had stints at the University of Lagos, 2000-2001, Adekunle Ajasin University, 2001-2006, and Obafemi Awolowo University, 2006-2009.
He is a member of several research networks including the Association of Commonwealth Universities Research Management Network, African Borderlands Research Network and the Organisation for Historical Research in Nigeria. Prof. Ogen is a Senate elected representative on the Governing Council of Osun State University and the current Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.

Prof. Janet Olubukola Olaitan joined the services of Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria in 2008. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Lagos State University in 1992 and subsequently Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in the same discipline in 1997 and 2005 respectively from University of Ibadan. Dr. Olaitan started her carrier as an Assistant lecturer with University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) in 1999 and rose to Lecturer I.
In terms of administrative responsibilities, Prof. Olaitan was the pioneer Coordinator and Acting Head of Department of Biological Sciences of the University between 2008 and 2011. She served as the Acting Dean of Student Affairs between 2011 and 2013. She became the pioneer Acting Dean of Basic and Applied Sciences in 2013. She is currently the Dean of Basic and Applied Sciences and Provost, College of Science, Engineering and Technology. She has Academic papers published in both Local and International Journals and has attended many Conferences within and outside the country.

Bolaji Olumuyiwa Omitola, a professor of political science is currently the Dean, Faculty of the Social Sciences, Osun State University, Nigeria. Prior to this appointment Dr. Omitola served as Director, Entrepreneurial Studies, Acting Dean, Students' Affairs of the University and Head of Department of Political Sciences in the College of Management and Social Sciences of Osun State University, Okuku Campus. Prof. Omitola attended University of Lagos, Lagos from 1987 to 1991 for his undergraduate education programme and University of Ibadan, Ibadan for his postgraduate programmes between 1993 and 2008. He obtained Bachelor of Science, Political Science (with Second Class Upper Division) in the year 1991; Masters in Political Science (with Specialisation in Public Administration) in 1994 and PhD in Political Science in 2008.
Dr. Omitola started his teaching career in The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1994 as an Associate Lecturer in General Studies. He later joined the service of Olabisi Onabanjo University in 1996 as Assistant lecturer in the Department of Political Science in 1996. In the year, 2010, he joined the service of Osun State University and became the Acting Head of Department of Political Science in April of the year 2010.
Prof. Omitola lectures and conducts research in the following areas: political institution, comparative politics and public administration. This is reflected in his research that have interrogated issues like Nigerian federalism, party system and political parties conflicts, ethnicity, ethno-regional agitations, religious fundamentalism, resource distribution, terror and security. He is involved in various committees assignment within the university.
He has published in local and international journals and peer reviewed books. Dr. Michaeline Asuquo Isawumi received her MBBCh degree from University of Calabar in 1989, MSc Community Eye Health 2002 from University College London, Fellows Nigeria Post graduate Medical College 2003, Fellows West African College of Surgeons 2004, Fellow International College of Surgeons 2007. This was followed by subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus obtained from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India 2009. She is currently an Associate Professor. She has been the Acting Head of Department of Surgery since 2012, and the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences in 2012- 2014, and 2015 to date.

I graduated from Federal Polytechnic, Ede Osun State, after my NYSC at Aiguobasimwin Benin City, Edo State. I worked at Ebunoluwa International School, Ofatedo from 2005 to 2010.
I was employed into Osun State University in March, 2010 at Ikire Campus, I was transferred to College of Science Engineering and Technology (SET) in 2013 and later transferred to Surgery Department.
I am presently the Confidential Secretary in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Osogbo.
Provide Protocol Reception to the visitors
Keeping of correspondence, files etc. and performing other clerical works for the institution
Typing of letters, memos when the need arises
Taking minutes of meeting and dispatching of memos
Supervision of junior workers
Maintaining good human relation with colleagues

The Faculty of Engineering of the Osun State University is one of the first two pioneer Faculties under the College of Science, engineering and Technology established 2007/2008 academic session as part of the first phase of development of the university.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- The Faculty produced the overall best student in the University (2013/2014) and (2014/2015) Sessions in the University.
- The Faculty produced the overall best student in the Faculty of Engineering in all state-owned University in Nigeria in 2016.
- The Faculty came First at the First Committee of Deans of Engineering of Nigerian Universities (CODET) Competition at the South western zonal level.

To train and produce qualified engineers with high academic standards and adequate practical background in the the fields of Engineering through broad-based training and exposure to industrial as well as entrepreneurial practices to enable them satisfy the immediate manpower needs of the industry and the community.
