institutions, eighteen (18) students of the College of Agriculture, on Saturday 20th April 2019, arrived Banju, the capital city of the Republic of The Gambia to kick start the exchange program and to strengthen the partnership.
It would be recalled that in February 2019, Osun State University and the University of The Gambia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on exchange programme accord that would, amongst other benefits, enable students of both Universities have access to facilities in the institutions which would go a long way in advancing them in technical know-how in various fields of study.
In line with the MoU, Agricultural students of Osun State University are poised to enjoying unhindered access to facilities in the School of Agriculture and Environment Sciences in the University of The Gambia while Faculty of Engineering of Osun State University will be playing host to their Engineering student counterparts from the University of the Gambia in June 2019.
The exchange program is one of the Professor Labode Popoola-led administration's commitments in internationalizing the University as the Vice-Chancellor reiterated his commitment in seeing the University grow beyond the shores of this country.
In his goodwill message to the students, the Vice-Chancellor said, "Yes, we are rooted in Osun but heading for the globe, even as he prayed for their safe, impactful and memorable stay in the Gambia.
