In his welcome address, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. O.J. Alamu expressed his happiness for the support the Foundation had been given in the area of awareness with a view to informing people with Diabetes on how it can effectively managed.
In his remark, the Managing Director of WDF, Dr. Anders Dejgaard informed the gathering that the Foundation had been supporting the Developing Countries of the World with a view to reducing the rate of Diabetes amongst the countries. He also added that the Foundation had also be creating awareness amongst the Secondary Schools within the Developing countries with a view to informing the youths earlier the effect of Diabetes and how it can be effectively managed after it has been detected. He later thanked the Acting Vice-Chancellor for the support given to SIDCAIN during its last conference held in the University.
