IJMB officials in a meeting with officials of the University
He said: ‘We are known for implementing best practices in the Nigerian University System. We have accreditation for all our programmes, and we believe in quality. We have not and we will not engage in anything that will tarnish our image’. During the exit briefing, the Chairman of IJMB, represented by Professor A. O. Oyewole, commended the University for its Central Medical Science Laboratory. He expressed satisfaction with what they met on ground and offered useful suggestions on some areas.

Other members included: Dr. Haruna Aminu (IJMB Coordinator), Mrs. Lucky Adamu (IJMB Assistant Coordinator) and Dr. B. Gbadamosi of the Osun State College of Education, Ila. It will be recalled that the Senate of the University approved the request for affiliation of the University to the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. IJMB is a body recognized by the National Universities Commission and its activities are moderated by the Joints Admission Matriculation Board.
About 50 Nigerian Universities are currently affiliated to IJMB. With this affiliation, it will increase access to University education for students of
Osun State origin and other Nigerians. In addition, it is going to impact positively and greatly on the host communities who had hitherto been disadvantaged.
