While addressing the gathering which included Provosts, Deans and union leaders, the Chairman said: ‘It is the legacy that one leaves that matters. He (Okesina) will need the cooperation of everybody. The price of leadership is such that on many occasions, you have to step on toes, even toes of people who are close to you. The fact that you are close to him in anyway does not guarantee that you will always be satisfied with his decisions.’
According to him, ‘The most important thing for you is to search your heart and ask yourself: given the circumstances, has he been fair to you? If the answer is yes, give him your total support.’ He advised UNIOSUN community to give him total support to execute his lofty programmes.
