The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebooye, while speaking on the palliative, stated that the Management having observed that the high cost of inter-campus commuting will have a high negative effect on staff of the University, recommended to the Governor, a disbursement of palliative, which he graciously approved with immediate effect.
In his words, the Vice-Chancellor said “The Executive Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke approved the recommendation of Management for payment of palliative to UNIOSUN staff because of the high cost of inter-campus commuting during this period of high petrol price. We immensely thank His Excellency for his approval, and we remain loyal as a community.”
Reacting to the goodwill, the Chairman of the University’s Joint Action Congress of NAAT, NASU and SSANU, Comrade Isaiah Fayemi, on behalf of all members of the unions, appreciated the Vice-Chancellor, his Management team and the Executive Governor for the magnanimity. He affirmed that the palliative is a way of motivating staff and implored all staff to be more committed to their duties and discharge them conscientiously.
