Prof.  Bello had his primary education at Ansarul Deen Primary School Ilobu and his Junior Secondary School Education at Ansarul Deen Grammar School Erin Osun. He completed his Senior Secondary School Education at Ilobu Secondary Commercial Grammar School, Ilobu, Osun State. He proceeded to  Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso where he bagged B.Tech (Hons) in Civil Engineering in Second Class Upper division (2001). He obtained his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Ibadan (2005) and Doctor of Philosophy degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with specialization in Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Engineering (2010).

Professor started his academic career in the Department of Civil Engineering, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (2004 and 2007) and later joined the services of Osun State University in 2007 as a Pioneer staff. He rose through the ranks and became a Professor in October, 2019. He has published widely in both local and international journals and also attended conferences both in Nigeria and abroad. He also served as External Examiners to some Universities in Nigeria.

Prof. Bello has broad academic and administrative experiences in the University system. These experiences include among others the  Head of Department of Civil Engineering (2013-2015), Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (2015-2018 and 2019-2021) and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration & Development) (2021 till date). He has also served as member of Accreditation Panel for National Universities Commission and Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria  to various Universities in Nigeria. He is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) . He is happily married with Children.
