Professional Journey:
Mrs. Oguntunde began her career as an Administrative Officer at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). Over her 27-year tenure, she advanced to the position of Deputy Registrar in 2010. During her time at LAUTECH, Mrs. Oguntunde undertook various roles, including Faculty Officer, Board Secretary, and College Secretary. She also made significant contributions to several administrative units, including the Council Affairs Unit, Personnel Affairs Unit, and Consultancy Unit. Notably, she served as the founding Secretary of LAUTECH's Postgraduate School.
Leadership at Osun State University:
As a Deputy Registrar, Mrs. Oguntunde served as College Secretary for the College of Health Sciences at Osun State University from 2012 to 2015 and again from 2018 to 2024. Her leadership proved crucial in re-establishing the College's administration after a dispute over ownership between Oyo and Osun State. Mrs. Oguntunde played a significant role in introducing computerized processes at LAUTECH, facilitating the digitization of transcript processing, e-publication of admission and matriculation lists, and the electronic production of certificates.
Professional Affiliations and Achievements:
Mrs. Oguntunde is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria and a member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), the Association of Higher Education Professionals United Kingdom (AHEP), and the American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP). She has participated in numerous conferences and workshops, both locally and internationally.
Mrs. Oguntunde has contributed to academic literature, writing a chapter in Awosusi's "Perspectives and Contours in University Administration in Nigeria." She has also presented papers at seminars and workshops, showcasing her expertise in university administration.
Awards and Honors:
Mrs. Oguntunde's dedication and service have earned her numerous awards, including commendations from the University Governing Council, and the National Executive Committee of ANUPA for her role as a two-term National Secretary and Treasurer of the association. She has also been recognized for her contributions to the university, the community, and the nation.
Current Role:
In December 2023, Mrs. Oguntunde submitted her application to become the third substantive Registrar of Osun State University. After a rigorous selection process, she was appointed to the position on April 19, 2024, a role she currently holds.
