Mr. Olabiyi Kazeem Olajide attended Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife where he qualified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in 2008 and qualified as FMLS 2011. He assumed duty in UNIOSUN on 13th October, 2010 as a Medical Laboratory Scientist II in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. He had his appointment confirmed and promoted to the post of Medical Laboratory Scientist I on April 7th, 2014 and October 1st, 2014 respectively.
He is a competent Medical Laboratory Scientist in Medical Microbiology & Parasitology department and adept in the use of specialized microbiology laboratory equipment.
He has attended conferences and trainings in the areas of his specialization. He collaborates with his colleagues within and outside the college to share ideas and experiences relating efficient service delivery. He is a field research scientist on Malaria studies. He is one of the key players among the medical scientists conducting medical tests for both the students and the new staff of the University serving as a source of IGR to the college of Health Sciences.
He is married with children.
JOB DESIGNATION:
I. Assisting in the preparation of technical materials, equipment, instruments, chemical reagents and sample specimens for student Practical Classes.
II. Assisting in the preparation of experimental set-ups and assemblies for student practicals.
III. Assisting in the organization and supervision of student practical classes and research.
IV. Assisting in the servicing and calibration of instruments required for student practical classes.
V. Assisting in the preparation of orders for supply of technical materials, equipment and consumables required for student practical classes and research.
VI. Assisting in experimental aspects of Departmental and postgraduate research programmes.
VII. Assisting final year undergraduate students in their experimental research projects.
VIII. Ensuring proper maintenance and servicing of utilities services, building, furnishing and other facilities connected with teaching and research programmes.
IX. Carrying out other technical and administrative duties as may be assigned by the Head of Dean, the Deans and the Provost.
X. Providing relevant professional and community services.
