Dr. Aderemi holds a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Ilorin (2005), a Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (2012) and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Kent, United Kingdom (2015). He joined the services of the University as a Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry, College of Health Sciences, on the 1st of April, 2011 and has hitherto been an active member of the College. He has publications in learned journals.
Dr Aderemi teaches medical biochemistry in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences in the University. He also supervises students’ works such as practical and tutorials. Additional responsibilities include working as course/students’ advisor and as a member of several statutory committees in the College of Health Sciences. He is currently working (in acting capacity) as the Chairman, Animal House Committee.
As a biomedical scientist, he has worked on some diseases of public health importance such as cancers and cardiovascular diseases. His research interests include characterisation of cancer cell lines, in vitro toxicological evaluation of anticancer agents, as well as the biochemistry of diseases of public health importance such as cancers, cardiovascular diseases and tuberculosis. His future research shall focus on the biochemistry of certain strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and utilization of a novel approach for development of antibiotics against this human pathogen.

Dr. Ajilore Bamidele Stephen is an M.B.Ch.B. graduate of the College of Health Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in May, 2006. He also received his M.Sc in Biochemistry from the same University in November, 2012. He is a doctoral student of the Department of Biochemistry, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso at present. He joined Osun State University in September 2009.
Dr. Ajilore B.S. has been involved in teaching and research in Osun State University since 2009 till date. He has served in many committees at the faculty, college and university levels. He was the Coordinator of the Department of Biochemistry, College of Health Sciences from August 2012 – August 2014.
His areas of research interests are biochemical, environmental, endocrine and molecular toxicology. He has 11 publications including articles and conference proceedings. He also has 1 technical report submitted to TETFUND. Ongoing Research:

Atere Tope Gafar received his M.Sc (Biochemistry) and MPhil (Biochemistry) in 2008 and 2013 from University of Ilorin, Ilorin and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife respectively. He joined Osun State University in January 2011 and he is currently a Lecturer II in the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences.

Olaniyan Olayinka Olaolu, is an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist at the Department of Chemical Pathology and one of the pioneer staff of the College of Health Sciences. He is actively involved in organizing and handling biochemistry / clinical biochemistry practical’s for the College students. He is adept in the use of basic and sophisticated clinical laboratory equipment and also versatile with laboratory techniques in the field of chemical pathology, molecular biology and genetics. He currently has about 10 publications and his research interest is in the field of type 2 diabetes and neglected tropical diseases.
• Training and supervising junior technical staff and technologists on the job.
• Organizing and supervising student’s practical classes.
• Preparation of technical materials, specimens, chemical reagents, equipments (etc), for students for practical’s classes and research projects.
• Taking part in experimental research projects for the Department and College research teams.
• Development of new experimental methods and techniques for use in Practical class and research projects.
• Periodic maintenance, servicing and calibration of instrument and equipment for teaching and research.
• Provide relevant professional and community services.
