Biosketch:
Dr. Sunday OLANREWAJU obtained his first degree of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Port Harcourt in 1998, and a Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2008. He underwent a residency program in Community Medicine at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo.
He is a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (Public Health) and a member of the West African College of Physicians (MFWACP) in the Faculty of Community Health. His research interests are majorly in Epidemiology and control of communicable diseases, particularly HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis as well as non-communicable diseases. He worked as a Tuberculosis/HIV Advisor at Family Health International, and as an academic staff of the Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomososo and the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo State, before joining Osun State University in 2017. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Community Medicine and honorary consultant with Osun State University Teaching Hospital, where he is involved in equipping students both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, junior and senior residents doctors with knowledge, competencies and skills in solving Public Health problems.
