Biosketch:
Callistus Akinleye is an Epidemiologist and Public Health Physician. His areas of interests are NCDs, Infectious Disease Epidemiology TB/HIV, MDR TB, Genomics, and bioinformatics. He is a Senior Lecturer in Department of Community Medicine, College of Health Sciences, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. He has taught at the university level for sixteen years and some of his taught courses are Epidemiology, Medical Statistics, Occupational Health, International Health, and NGO Monitoring and Evaluation. He was a recipient of the Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETFund) 2023 for Research on Mendelian Randomization of Diabetes among Stroke Patients in the African Ancestry. His research publications have appeared in several peer-reviewed scientific journals. The major thrust of his research is on the Double burden of Disease in the African Population. Cardiometabolic diseases and Vaccine Trials of Lassa fever, Malaria Vaccines in Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Medical and Dental Consultants of Nigeria (MDCAN), International Epidemiology Association (IEA), and International Society of Computational Biology(ISCB) among others. Callistus has also been extensively involved in Healthcare provision, International Capacity Building, and Developmental work as his contributions to community development.
